Working Mother Left Will Not Make Children Hyperactive

During this career women are often anxious to leave their children at home, because children are not accompanied by his mother feared prone to behavioral disorders. But according to the study, children still grow normally even though his mother works.

Researchers from University College London, Dr Anne McMunn reveal it after making observations on 13,000 children in England. Children from different backgrounds that parental work were observed at birth, then his behavior is observed again at age 3 and 5 years.

Hailnya, there was no significant difference in the behavior of children whose mothers work compared with children whose mother was always home. This conclusion is reassuring 64 percent of career women in the United States that were still under-fives.

Even according to the study, development of behavior in children who are always left work by both parents actually better than if both parents are unemployed. This is further influenced by factors within the family income.

Although generally not affected by the work of parents, especially mothers, boys are more prone to behavioral disorders if the mother is unemployed. The same was experienced by girls, who are prone to be hyperactive if his father had no job.

"Women's careers do not have to feel guilty when leaving their children at home, as long as there is care of it. It is precisely the career of a mother giving a positive influence on family finances and also set an example for his children," said Dr. McMunn is quoted from WebMD on Monday (25 / 7 / 2011).

Previously, many believe that a mother could make a career displaced and vulnerable children have behavioral disorders, among others GPPH (Concentration of Attention and Hyperactivity Disorder). But with this new research, mothers need not worry for running career while still raising children.

The results of this study published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health.
