Bleeding Gums Make Difficult Women Have Children

Oral health can affect women's fertility rates. According to research, women often experience bleeding gums and bad breath have needed more time to have children, since the marriage.

Bleeding gums and bad breath is periodontal symptoms, namely disorders of the mouth that is triggered by the formation of plaque or tartar. In more severe conditions, can lead to periodontal sensitive teeth, cavities and even easy to date.

According to recent research at the University of Western Australia, women with periodontal problems it took 2 months longer to get pregnant. Women who are healthy mouth takes on average just 5 months after marriage, whereas if there is periodontal problems take up to 7 months.

While in other studies, bleeding gums during pregnancy can also increase the risk of preterm birth to 3-fold. The research was presented at the Annual American Association for Dental Research beginning in 2010.
